what is com.google.android.apps.carrier.carrierwifi? Is it safe to remove?
I was using aurora store for awhile and today I got a notification tell me to update this app. I have no idea what it do exactly, but I always try to degoogle my phone as much as possible. It would help a lot if someone can give an answer. Thank in advance.
Duck it or f"ck it.
Manually degoogling a phone can result in many unwanted problems. Essential aosp softwares are REPLACED by its proprietary alternatives by google . The best way to go is use an Aosp ROM or microg ROM/os. Like GrapheneosMicrog4lineageCalyxos or any other you like
I'm not sure, but you can use the app "Canta" if you want to remove system apps, it categorises them into safe and unsafe to remove. Very useful app, but it does require adb to operate. Shizuku can provide that for you on-device.
