The visuals were stunning all the way through, but it feels like something's missing. Maybe it's just that "the underestimated hero teaches everyone that being different doesn't mean being worse" has already been done to death and has long since entered its parody age, so seeing such an earnest take on it feels off. I might give it another episode, but overall I want to like this but I just don't really vibe with it.
3/5
1 0 ReplyIts really weird seeing manga youve read years ago be turned into anime, kind of like watching a kid grow up.
1 0 ReplySo correct me if I'm wrong:
- Regarden Magical Academy = Hogwards (magic school where elitists are thrown together with "lesser" students for some cheap drama)
- Will Serfort = Harry Potter (basically the underdog the elitists are looking down upon but who is actually the most special)
- Sion Ulster = Malfoy (elitist classmate with a entourage as the basic antagonist for MC)
- Colette Loire = Hermine (honor student friend of MC)
- Edward Serfens = Snape (antagonistic elitist teacher bullying MC but probably turning out to be a good one in the end)
- Workner Norgram = A mix of Hagrid and Gumbledor (basically the faculty staff that is a supporter of MC as a counter to the antagonistic one)
