For those unaware, x86 is an architecture that is ubiquitous in general computing (home computers, servers, etc) and is where you find most software (and PC gaming) compatibility (Steam, Battle.net, Epic Games Store, etc.). What this means essentially is that these handhelds are gaming computers crammed into the handheld form factor, so you can potentially play all your steam games, EGS games, etc, on the go.
Outside of the Steam Deck and Asus ROG Ally, there are many more other brands, such as GPD, One Netbook, AyaNeo, and even Anbernic, known for their arm-based emulation handhelds, has an x86 gaming handheld with the Win600.
We would like to foser discussion around these devices, celebrate their existance, and keep up to date on all the news surrounding them
So if any of this interests you and want to stay informed on the topic, head on over and join the club!!
Hi there! Looks like you linked to a Lemmy community using a URL instead of its name, which doesn't work well for people on different instances. Try fixing it like this: !hh86@forum.stellarcastle.net
