And not just castration, any kind of mutilation. Just think of the punishment scenes in Technopriests and the coming of age rituals in Metabarons. Even worse, don't forget rape, the dude is obsessed with rape. I love his worldbuilding with all my heart from when I was a child but those graphic violence, rape and mutilation scenes all over the place are so over the top it's a little cringe, especially in the projects which he did without Moebius.
