Google has unveiled a bunch of new features aimed at turning the Play Store into more than just a destination for people to download new apps. Here's what they announced.
Main Highlights of the article:
The new "Collections" widget shows content from your favorite apps right on your home screen
The Play Store is adding a dedicated tab for Comics
Google Play Points members can enter to win free hardware each week
Google will let you control which apps contribute to your personalized Play Store experience
Play up to 4 games at the same time with this Google Play Games on PC update
New games are available through Google Play Pass, which is 80% off for a limited time
Personalize your game searches with multi-select interest filters
It is way better than Google play. You can scroll by category or search for a specific app. The apps you find are actually ethical and not some malware/spyware.
Ladies and gents, this is what you get when an industry stops innovating. Moving search bars up and down, adding endless "summary" pages, obfuscating pages behind others etc
Look, I'm satiated, I don't need to discover new apps nor great content through Google Play. Most apps are trash and I've never bought content through Google Play.
By "new apps and great content," do you mean new apps and great content for me to enjoy and have genuinely good experiences with, or just new apps and great content for me to buy through you?
