Yeah I was feeling better like 24 hours later. Don't expect to be on the couch for a week. Icepacks and DS9 sounds like a good start.
The place I went to had a TV on the ceiling to distract you, but the doc put on a nature documentary about owls, the thing turned into a mirror with all the night shots...
Other then that it was fine.
And I can't stress this enough:
Get fucking tested by the fucking deadline. Do the 20+ wanks and get tested when they say to get tested. Something like 70% of men don't get tested. That's how you end up with an unplanned kid. Don't be an asshole like that!
Follow whatever instructions they give you when it comes to waiting on exercise/sex. In the moment it'll definitely feel fine, but you will be punished later. Speaking from experience lol.
Also icing before bed is good, also buying extra ice packs is probably a good idea (4 was a good number for me, but you can always just return them later so get a lot).
Also, if there isn't anyone around to help after, try to set things up so that everything's within reach of the couch when you get back. I had help, but they couldn't be around for the entire recovery period, so yeah keep the essentials close by.
Oh and there's probably going to be dried blood in your ejaculate the first few times so take whatever precautions you need to/don't freak out.
As far as my experience, I wasn't one of the fast recovery period guys. But even then it wasn't too bad, I just moved around and did things carefully, tried not to push it (ex. going on long walks without very supportive underwear). I'd sometimes have discomfort after sex, but that was usually my fault if you know what I mean. It's hard for me to place exactly when I felt totally normal, but I'd say within a month or two I stopped having to be careful about the way I did things. But that's just me, and I did have an injury back in the day that may have been the reason why it took me a minute to feel totally normal.
Also I'd recommend getting the no scalpel procedure if you aren't. Probably fine either way but I've read there's a greater chance of complications/longer recovery if you get an incision
bruh lol I'm crying at the thought of someone just whacking it over a picture of trotsky only to go when they don't see blood in their jizz. thank you for that
Blue balls is not fake and is not a joke. You might be getting it mixed up because some guys exaggerate it and/or use it as an excuse to pressure unwilling people into sex. But it's a real thing. Anywhere from moderate discomfort to mild pain.
If you're just getting it done laproscopically it isn't too big of a deal. Just ice and ibuprofen and laying down for a day or two. Your sack will be black and blue and the doc will tell you , but most pain should be gone in a few days.
My buddy got his done with like, general anaesthesia and they opened him up a lot more and it sounded like he had a much rougher time.
I preferred a thin layer like a once folded beach towel between the site and the frozen pack. something I could adjust... not so cold I lose feeling. maybe a naproxen sodium for pain but I don't remember there being much after the first 24-36 hours.
follow their instructions for rest time before exercise and cleaning. better to wait an extra day than invite extra pain.
mine was real chill, local anesthetic, but I will say that I get some pain that I didn't used to if a partner plays rough with the bag.
Everyone’s anatomy is different and this procedure seems more like an art than a science for the urologist.
I had a longish recovery which was like 6 weeks for all of the swelling and 95% of the discomfort to go away but I think mine was out of the norm. During that time it felt like I was recovering from getting kicked in the balls. Not the immediate aftermath of a kick rather a dull ache as if I had been kicked several hours before. Icepacks helped a lot.
Repositioning is needed as there may be a sharp pain here and there but be gentle. Over time any and all pains lessened and disappeared altogether.
Mine was easy as hell. Like, it didn't even constantly hurt, it was just more sensitive for a bit, like a bump from my thigh that I normally wouldn't even feel, I could feel then. The hardest part was being unable to cum for a week. I was also put under for the procedure, a lot of people aren't.
