In 2016, Khan — whose son died fighting in Iraq — spoke at the Democratic convention and denounced Trump. He now tells NBC News that the former president has "gotten worse."
Khizr Khan, the father of a slain Muslim Army captain who gained national attention by pointedly criticizing former President Donald Trump during the Democratic National Convention in 2016, announced in an exclusive interview with NBC News that he is endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign and plans to act as a campaign surrogate for her.
In 2016, Khan denounced Trump’s treatment of Muslims and other minorities while holding a pocket-sized U.S. Constitution and challenging Trump to read the document. In his interview with NBC News on Saturday, Khan said Trump has “gotten worse” and that he fears the former president will become a dictator and end democracy as Americans know it.
Harris Walz support a lot of the same things the Republicans do
Trump and Walz even teamed up to give police more funding to forcibly remove oil pipeline protesters
more war funding, more police funding, more funding to restrict our borders, no plan to improve workers' rights, no plans for universal healthcare, no raising the minimum wage, no plans to care for our planet better
and in particular why Khizr Khan is endorsing Harris Walz
if you read the article his gripes about the Republicans are things the Democrats have come out strong on too like securing the border to the extreme and arming Israel
Khan also said he wasn’t an expert on the Afghanistan war and didn’t want to “second guess” the actions of the Biden-Harris administration.
“Second-guessing the decisions of our leadership, our military leadership, is not a good idea,” Khan said. “It is not in national interest. Guess who is going to exploit this difference and Republicans’ exploitation of this issue? Our adversaries — and it does not benefit our country. It does not benefit our national security.”
Khan is just talking out his ass
both parties are warmongers who support fascist ideas like closed border policies
What about abortion? Tax cuts for the super rich? Environmental protection? Consumer protection from telecoms and credit card providers? Access to food and nutrition for children and the disabled? The broken financials of our universities and their students? Paid leave to start a family? Basic shit like being able to unsubscribe from things online if you signed up online?
Those are just a subset of real, actual laws that are improving lives in democrat-run states.
