The Weight I Cannot Learn To Bear (OC)
This is a villanelle I wrote about how terrified I've been as I enter adulthood while my parents age. Its one of the most personal things I've ever written.

Thank you for sharing this work, I don't think there are many among us for our parents' inevitable decline as time wages its war. Now that mine have both passed I don't regret the time we spent together, I only wish I could have had more of it.
