Mechanics normally use a #Mechanics Telescoping Magnetic Pick-Up Tool 2 pick up small bolts & other metal that have fallen as they work, but those who #CrossStitch, #Sew, #Quilt, etc., can use it to pick up lost pins & needles so they don't wind up goosing someone when they sit on the couch. 😅 Can be found in almost any automotive store or automotive tool section in Walmart. Some versions even have flashlights on the end! @lemmy_stitch@crossstitch
@Stitch26@lemmy_stitch@crossstitch I am going to get one of these. Thanks for the suggestion. Just wish it would pick up plastic too (place marker circles).
@Sarah@lemmy_stitch@crossstitch Maybe you could get one and put double-sided tape on the end so they stick to the tape when you need to pick them up?? It *might* work! 😄

I'm sorry! Scratch that! They have a tool you might be able to use for that too! A flexible grab tool!!This pic is of a set Walmart carries for around $7. It includes the telescoping magnet tool, a magnetic bowl (also great to keep track of #PinsAndNeedles) and the flexible grab tool. You push the button on the end to open the little claw. These should also be found in most automotive tool stores. #FantasticCrossStitchToolsAndWhereToFindThem
