Can't help but think you could get a nice bicycle for less than that, and it would be more practical though.More practical is debatable. I have a gaggle of PEVs and a bike and I tend to favor my EUC due to not needing to lock it up when I go places.

Never heard of them and I'm afraid to ride stuff like this, but that said, it does look pretty fun and I like that they support right to repair.
I'd be in if they make a kick scooter, I wouldn't be comfortable at that speed on a one-wheel. Is this meant to ride in the street?
I love that they support right to repair. That's my big concern with my ninebot, if something goes wrong it seems to be really hard to get parts. I can't even find the 5A DC charger in stock.
If I need to replace a tire I feel like I'm going to have to ship the whole thing somewhere.
You don't have to ride at the top speed. My car tops out over 160mph but I drive the speed limit.
Having more motor power just means less chance of a nosedive at any speed.
Why not just ride it at jogging speed?
My question stands I suppose - is this meant for the street? I usually see these on sidewalks zipping through crowds, so I'm just imagining that if you gave someone one that could do 22, they'd be doing that instead of the 10 or whatever most do.
Side note, is there a practical limit on acceleration given how fast you can change the position of your body? The ground speed is just a product of trying to keep the center of mass above the center of the tire's contact patch, right? If you just lean forward and push it to go faster until it hits it's limit, wouldn't you go over from the Δa?

yep, already been on the discord for a long time - this will be my second vesc, tho my first “complete” vesc. (first is a converted xr and I still need to build the battery, so I’ve been using the stock pack which is dead)

went with the regular adv with the molicels upgrade. paid for it today, hoping it’ll ship out next week. I’m in nyc so won’t have too far to travel once it lands in the states... also ponied up the extra 200 bucks for expedited shipping. would love to hit the road with it before snow.
Looks like a copy of one wheel. How'd they pull that off without lots of lawsuits?
It is a copy of a onewheel :) but fully customizable, as powerful as a onewheel GT S for half the price, and supports right to repair (each part is replaceable).
Futuremotion has tried to sue Floatwheel, but all they get is a middle finger. Floatwheel has no central location, and they only accept cryptocurrency. Patents can get fucked. They can't be sued. I think that's so cool that it's half the reason I bought it.
I'm more interested in es8 (e-skate)
