That's insane. But he's got a bag that most wouldn't get. If he invests wisely, he can live well.
I don't follow teams outside of my local, so what is the story with Griffin? From a quick Google, I don't see anything about a debilitating injury or serious off the court issues, just that he struggled to find a role in the NBA. Normally, I would expect a guy like that to spend the rest of his rookie contract as a bench warmer or playing in the G League and then turning his experience practicing with NBA stars into a career in a less competitive league.
Not sure, others can chime in. Some says he's turned religious.
I sincerely hope he will consider having giving it another spin
