One of the most insane things i have ever seen on tv was that stadium they built in texas or some other way too hot to live shithole. They could close the roof and AIRCONDICION the whole stadium.
I think you're missing the point. It's that they built it to begin with. And it's not always enclosed. Stadiums exist all over that aren't air conditioned and don't close. It's the level of effort to overcome the heat. Yet we still can't air condition damn Amazon warehouses or UPS trucks. Both of those have had folks pass out from heat.
I mean, I'm watching Righteous Gemstones right now and loving it for what I thought was just a funny fictional show.
Then I learned that even celebrities still share stuff to social media about supporting these rich fucking leeches. Nothing surprises me anymore. People don't think about the climate or Earth's finite resources or ecological collapse. Because as long as some rich fuck with a platform gets on it and says, "That's not true," their followers will believe it.
And yes, I'm referring to uneducated religious people, which take up around half of this godforsaken country.
The u.s could pay for their entire health system if they sat out football for a year and put all that money into services. But you know, bread and circuses. Americans prefer sports to services and health care
Yeah, posted on lemmygrad.ml for a while, but got pissed off when they deleted a well thought out argument i made on why not voting is harmful for the Prolitariat in the Imperial Core. Wanted to wait for a while before i posted in another fediverse instance or whatever and decide to post here once i saw it was where you landed ha.
Why doesnt someone invent a giant electronic pot that people can put money into for healthcare. People put money in and take out when needed. We can call it socialized health insurance. If we run out of money, they just give IOU's with thoughts and prayers as the header so they know they are being taken care of.
