Uzumaki Fans Get Jump Scare as Quality Drops Off a Cliff for Episode 2

Horror anime fans got perhaps the biggest scare of all in Episode 2 of Uzumaki due to a massive drop off in animation quality.

This is just... Oof... Feels like a monkey's paw situation that we finally got an adaptation and the animation is all over the place.

"It's fine, we knew this would happen," DeMarco said in a series of deleted posts. "I can't talk about what went down, but we were screwed over, and the options were A) not finish and air nothing and call it a loss, B) Just finish and air Episode 1 and leave it incomplete or C) run all four, warts and all.

Honestly, I’d rather that we only got the first episode as a pilot and wait for the promise of funding at a later date rather than present a half-assed follow-up.
- Fan redrawn scenes might be a thing, considering how well known the base material is.
The first episode has scketchy animation as it is. The ideas are what made it watchable. How do you spend four years on a four episode series, and not even get episode two finished?

  I'm also not spending years on a project that's going to air and not even completing half of it.
Ah that's disappointing. Episode 1 had me looking for similar content.
