Christopher Nolan Sets Next Movie At Universal In Imax For Summer 2026 With Matt Damon Eyed To Star
Christopher Nolan has set his next film, his follow-up to Oppenheimer. The Universal movie will star Matt Damon and be released in July 2026.
I have really enjoyed some of Nolan's work, but at this point, a production sound mixer/supervisor being eyed is more likely than a lead actor to get me interested.
100% this. His movies are unwatchable at this point. I got through maybe half of Tenet and just gave up. Was loving the story but having to use subtitles and turn the volume up and down constantly, I just gave up.
Which is a damn shame because the dialogue in Tenet is amazing. I love that movie.

Neil: “That part is a little dramatic.”
The Protagonist: “I’ll manage. You British don’t have a monopoly on snobbery, you know.”
Sir Michael Crosby: “Well, not a monopoly. More of a controlling interest.”
Oh nice, it’s been a while since we’ve seen Matt Damon saved in a movie.
