It really wasn't that good, just packed to the gills with fan-service.
Ok, it had Hugh Jackman, and he was the most Wolverine he's ever been, but that was about the only awesome part, otherwise DP2 was probably better, at least you cared.
I absolutely dislike fan service. But somehow at least it kinda worked. In star wars it feels like they just forcing down fan service, while in deadpool, they show fan service the fans actually care about. Like chanum tatum's gambit and blade. Knowing how shitty Wesley snipes was to RR, makes this even funnier that he was nice enough (i assume, i don't really know.) to let him be blade in his monster hit movie. Seeing captain america was fun too, although seeing his face i knew he was too expensive to stay.
I don't agree with you, but we were both probably seeing the movie with different expectations.
I went 100% for the fanboy in me. I wanted the fan-service and nostalgia, and this movie delivered. The BTS shots from the Fox movies during the credits broke me because those were some of my favorite movies and it brought back great memories.
I loved the insanity, dumb jokes, and 4th wall breaking because I know we'll never see this kind of movie again.
It was better than i expected, but my expectations were super low. Thinking back about what i liked is kinda rough, because there isn't much. I don't even want to watch the movie again.
