People would feel a lot differently about cellphones if the caller chose their own ringtone

This used to be a thing a decade ago, although not exactly the same. You could set your own ‘call tune’, and anybody who called you heard that before you answered instead of the usual ringing sound.

This would literally only exist to embarrass people.
