Like I hate this reactionary need to point at the worst thing possible whenever someone tries to criticize anything.
"Hey this song is pretty bad and seems like an industry plant" - "Watch this video of a baby on fire with the sound I'm and tell me that song is the worst thing you heard now huh!"
Like fuck man we know what's worse but that doesn't absolve the "better" options of their issues. Sure the language used by the commentary is pretty divisive but Biden has avoided the press and public all his presidency and has shown little resolve for progressive policies cause they weren't his in the first place.
He could be doing fireside chats or having constant updates from the office and time slots to talk about workers being upset and the cost crushing everyone is feeling but instead he's not. It makes him feel ineffective at his job and as leader that's a big problem.
What's actively hurting voter turnout is a party that views status quo and social grandstanding as a means of avoiding economic change for 35 years against a party that loves the social conversations to distract from their complete lack of plan.
There are issues with both sides and avoiding talking about it doesn't fix the actual underlying issues or the voter turnout issue. Telling people to shut up so we can ignore things to keep status quo is clearly not a long term solution.
The third option is to find good bands or smaller ones and support them while inspiring others to not pay for something just cause they were told to. And also still not engage in the worst options. And in the meantime take all the steps possible to getting in that direction.
And not just telling people to not complain or have emotions about their feelings on the state of things. You miss the legitimate criticism under the words if you ignore it for being not what you want.
