The first flush stopped with two pingpong sized fuzzy balls, after low oxy, high temperature thanks to a record summer.
This is the second flush. Probably got too moist and a bit too warm again because of a late heatwave. Any other guesses on why its so deformed?
Will make some battered wings from this :)
Looks good, but what is it???
1 0 ReplyI should've added context eh?
It's Lion's Mane. Home grown from syringe into unused beer malts, bulked on nothing but hard wood fuel pellets.
The first flush was tiny and bitter so i was surprised by this second one :)
May have kept them too wet, too warm or high co2 which all can cause this irregular growth from what I understand.
2 0 ReplyAh very cool. I had a suspicion it was lion's mane but I wasn't sure. I'm starting to get a handle on oysters, and LM is something I want to try next.
