The Christmas dinner was so tense, Jaime Lee Curtis really crushed the role of Carmy's mom, loved the growth the team made during the season and the episode of Richie at Carmy's old restaurant had a Ted Lasso feel to it.
Its definitely well done. The ending was super brutal. I work in the service industry for the last 10 + years and have been steadily climbing. And that feeling he had at the end. Where something you love so much shouldn't be so hard or hurt so much hit me deep.
I loved this season, especially the Christmas episode. That feeling of too many people in a not so big house constantly yelling over each other is very familiar to me.
Literally just finished the last episode before picking up my phone to check out what is happening on Lemmy. Other than the family Christmas episode I have loved the show.
That family dinner episode was so tense, you really get a sense of what the siblings had to deal with, and how it broke the siblings in the ways the three characters are/were broken. It was a fantastic episode, just really hard to watch.
My wife and i both thought it was far too long of an episode. It was 66 minutes, while the episodes before and after were 33 and 35 minutes respectively.
