That Beard allowed him to travel backwards in time! (Enterprise 1x20 Oasis)
For some reason, I was thinking he had a beard in "Children of Time" when he mellowed out and aged into Ed Begley Jr. Odo, but apparently he didn't.
I just watched that episode last night! No, he didn't have a beard there, but it would have fit.
That Odo definitely had beard energy for sure.
