YQPkg - Standalone Qt Package Selector
This is a fork of the YaST Qt package selector as a standalone Qt program without any YaST dependencies. It works directly with libzypp.
Additional information:
pmos - Memorable as akin to CMOS, except it is a Package Manager for Open Suse.
I thought about integrating the name OpenSuse too. But there was some legal problems by Suse itself. OpenSuse should change their name and brand, not sure if this is still asked to do so.
It really doesn't matter what it's called. If its memorable, people will remember it.
Easy to type and being searchable, and not associated with other existing projects or malicious software are only some of the requirements. A good name is important and does matter.
Right now that's exactly what this is. It's odd enough to be unique, it's memorable, it's short.
Whilst Gimlet media did a whole podcast series on naming the company, the pharmaceutical industry went in the opposite direction:

There was a TV show in the Netherlands in the late 1980's called JASDV, which translated acronym meant Jan Behind The Scenes Of.
We use weird names all the time.
