Interview 1 went well!!!!!!! Really well.
Person interviewing said I'll most likely be coming in to meet the CFO!
Next one at 1:30pm. Let's see how it all plays out.

  Internal IT with an org that has an existing relationship with an MSP.
  Sounds pretty decent from the interview so far. Downside is office attendance for the first few months.
  Salary makes it worthwhile.

- I believe doing time somewhere in retail or hospitality should be a prerequisite to adulthood. People who are or have been retail workers make far more reasonable customers. Society would do better if customers knew and understood what it was like to deal with customers.

So I ended up getting an offer from a multinational. I'm not getting too excited in case the police check fucks me up.

last night I
-Went to bed early
-Put clean sheets on the bed
-Took a melatonin
-Had a warm shower
-trashed the freshly made bed with the mrs
-drank a chamomile tea
-read for a bit
Still got woken up at 2 by the toddler who isnt well, and still took me a while to fall asleep in the first place, but I only woke up 2 times throughout the night and didnt stay awake for hours after each wake up, so I'd could that a win!

  I’m cleaning pigeon guano off solar panels and gutters tomorrow morning on the 2-storey roof. I don’t want to fall off.
  Hopefully Sunday will be in solar-powered, air-conditioned comfort tomorrow at home, rather than solar-powered air-conditioned comfort of the local Trauma ward.

  Losing a tooth gives you money. Knowing exactly where the tooth is and wanting it to be forcibly evicted is the expensive bit.

  I got to see them live a while back at the concert hall. It was incredible.

Walking Miniest to school and she noticed a Tesla and said "there's a carzi" (rhymes with nazi). I usually call them swasticars. I asked her if she thought of that one herself, and she said she was trying to think of the word I always said but couldn't think of it so she said that one instead 😂🤣

  Yummy Cannoli in Epping. Just above the shopping centre in the industrial area if you're ever up that way

  Some of the best cannoli I've had were in Reservoir (not sure what the place was called) and Floriana Cakes in Oakleigh ish. They have the chocolate in them. Also Brunetti of course. I'm yet to try any down west, but have heard there are good ones around Footscray.
  
  I've been to EAT CANNOLI on Wood Road, but that could be considered Preston. The cannoli place in the South Melbourne Markets has their factory in Heidelberg West and they also do a nice pork roll there
  
  Can confirm Reservoir used to be a hub for cannoli - opposite the new council library there's still a couple of places .... Mind you, it's been a while since I went up there but the cake shops and the good butcher were legit.

I am full of cheese and wine and the love of good friends. Was a bit of a shit week but that made it all better. Now to shower and sleep with the alarm off. Good weekend peeps

Partner tells me there's a pair of twenty-something (potentially teenage) boys knocking on people's doors and loudly talking in the Northcote area.
If they are casing houses (ours is a block of flats and we almost never get doorknockers), and she didn't open the door for them, do we have anything to worry about?
- Are they dressed in white shirt and black pants? Could be mormons. As far as I know, teenagers don’t ‘case’ houses. They just break in with machetes so they can take the car keys to steal cars. No one wants vcr players anymore and they don’t need to look inside to see if you have one. So yeah, I’d say nothing to worry about.
- They don't knock on doors where I am, they do either of 2 things:
  Steal people's hello fresh or similar food box deliveries, or other porch piracy, usually within 30 minutes of delivery and in broad daylight, and
  Sneak/drive around quietly during the night trying to find unlocked vehicle doors, ransacking and stealing whatever they can carry.

Appliances Online have run out of cheap(ish) portable air cons. Most economical available now is over $800 ... screams in capitalism
- wet tshirt and a fan is 10x more effective and 0 of the cost.

Pretty glad I'm swapping today for one of the hellish days next week to be back out in the field, it's gooooorgeous out there this am. Next week can go suck a fuck.

Tempted to try the goon bag trick in the next few days. Basically just fill it with water, freeze it and hug it all day.
- Recommend half filling it before freezing, and wrapping it in a towel before hugging. Also can be put in bed to rest feet on which is remarkably cooling.

My dad’s birthday celebration on Sunday and I have to go.
- It's my mum's birthday tomorrow. I planned on going to the florist today, pop down to the old cheese's place tomorrow morning, drink in the afternoon. But no. The kid decided to get sick. All plans out the window.

Date night last night and we went to Melbourne Cable Park to play mini golf and man, that place really impressed me. It was just so super laid back and cool, watching the wake boarders and the people doing the high ropes course was really cool and inspiring. Boyfy and I spent about an hour just wandering around the lakes and checking things out. I drive past it every day, but had never been in there, the inflatables course looks soooo fun.
- I want it known that I tried really hard to come up with a joke about date night and putting but fell short. My apologies, I wont let this happen again.

- Aren't pockets just sewn in belt pouches?
  I'll take a pic of a traditional New Guinean belt pouch I have ( I collect all types of Oceania stuff ) . Guys would attach these to their belts and the belts were pretty much just strings to attach useful objects to.
  
  The modern equivalent are cargo pants where tissues can hide in the gillion and one pockets. Loved by tradies. Hated by housewives.
  
  Things fall out of pockets. Things get caught in pockets. A good pouch has not these problems

Starting to dismantle my shelving system. Recovered from cat pilfering so far: 2 ping pong eye balls, three plastic dinosaurs, a matchbox car, 2 pens, and 4 lip balm tube lids.
