They're already severely limiting access of ICE vehicles in urban areas to decrease smog and traffic. Their demand for oil is going to decrease over time.
Same with plastics. We need / will be producing less and relaying on recycling or other materials.
Plus we have a climate crisis on our hands and need to drastically reduce oil production.
