On the Mastodon side of things, I have a word filter for "reminder". If a post contains the word "reminder" in any context, I will not see it.
I've just found that most of the time, people make posts like "Reminder that
<highly subjective opinion>
". I really don't know, if it's a meme at this point, but I still don't particularly care to read it.I need to find more calming communities on lemmy, too many alarm bells and saber rattling for my mental wellbeing.
Seriously. It's honestly easier to find chill communities on Reddit, even if I hate supporting that site. But at least it has non-political stuff. Politics feels impossible to avoid here.
I don't believe in non-political stuff. Why do you have to force your belief in non-political content on everyone else?
Apparently just invoking that name is enough to give you downvotes. As reddit sheds users in its overt attempts to monotize, I think those communities will work their way over here in due time.
If everything is a priority, nothing is.
