Fascist and supremely petty, what a glorious combo for our lovely neighbors. So happy for them.
I've been pretty tuned into U.S. depravity and rightward slide since Dumpster's 2016 candidacy. I even attribute to him the final push that cured me of a religious fundamentalist upbringing. That sparked a process of re-evaluating everything. I'm pretty familiar with the contents of Project 2025, and aware of rumors that there's an unpublished part. I find the claims of a plot to deliberately implode the nation to build post-national techno-feudal societies disturbingly plausible.
I'm still utterly amazed at the pace of events flowing out of the current administration. I wouldn't put anything past the key players driving this movement. But the truly amazing part is how quickly faithfuls are soaking up new marching orders, and how weak, disorganized, and noncommittal the resistance is at seeing their nation entirely restructured into a blatant fascist dictatorship. Who would have guessed that America has so little backbone and no fight in them?

Honestly? Anyone who's been paying attention. The US has amazing control over their population. The people are kept weak, misinformed, and economically on the edge of being unhoused and starving with no support systems in place. Most people are too comfortable in their own homes, or too distracted struggling to survive to realize their power to organize in numbers.
Compare various European nations' reactions when their government does something they don't like. They bring the nation to its knees with protests clogging the streets. The US? Crickets.
South Korea pulled down a wanna-be dictator and held him accountable. The US? Crickets.
They talk tough, but the US has not had a strong populace in generations.
"Hey I said 'dont tread on ME'. I have no problem stepping on you!"
And I also think the AI bot problem on social media is more serious and insidious than we give it credit for. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter are all on the wrong side. I think they are actively dividing the opposition and keeping potential opposition away all the while turning as many MAGA as they can get their algoritmes in.
