So I'm not at all surprised the US is near the top in meat consumption. Our diets are very meat heavy, and I've recently been trying to cut back a bit. What I am surprised by is that Hong Kong consumes 33% more meat per capita than the US, and that the US is ranked 5 instead of 1 or 2.
