Some banks down 10% S&P down 5% Dow 1,600 points down.

Feels like a bit of a canary day

My guess is Trump will roll back some planned tariffs today before they kick in tomorrow to stem the bleeding.
Of course, everyone's been saying for months this would happen, and he did it anyway. So it likely won't generate a whole lot of faith in American futures.
- May be right. He's also a coward and a liar fundamentally who's using tariffs as a negotiating tactic at least in part, and has said that if countries give the US a crazy "good deal" he'd reconsider their rates.
  He thinks he's playing high level geopolitics while making himself rich.
