Praxis has one of the highlights of the show with their HiT prototype gearbox that uses unique folding gears.
An interesting idea and a fascinating feat of engineering for sure
... but why? This seems like a solution in search of a problem. I've really noticed this a lot in the bicycle world - companies that keep trying to reinvent components and mechanisms that have been perfected decades ago.
In the real world there's nothing perfect about a chain and derailleur.
I'm afraid I would get a testicle caught in the gear box.
