“MP3 is dead” missed the real, much better story. MP3 is supported by everything, everywhere, and is now patent-free.

As long as my Tacoma's infotainment system only supports MO3, for me, it is very much alive.

I now want to know in what year does the final patent on mp4 expire? I have done a quick web search, but I cannot find a good answer.
