  • In development for over two decades (yes, 22 years), Captain Blood finally released on the PS5 and PS4 this week. Players can try out the action-adventure hack-and-slash title without spending a penny.

    Surprisingly, the demo isn’t locked behind PS Plus Premium, and it’s available on both the PS5 and PS4.

    The demo isn’t streamable, so Premium subscribers will need to download it into their consoles.

    Hypothesis: It's because free things like demos were last seen 22 years ago and they absolutely should come back, as should ownership, no anticheat or online dependence on single player titles, and cheat codes.
