My growing standom for Susan's return is unamused by the phrasing "the day Carole Ann Ford was on set".
"Day," singular?! They had an octogenarian sprint around sets battling unholy trinities, saving planets, and probably doing all kinds of wire fu needed for the finale in one day? đ¤
I assume she's referring to the day of filming Ford did for that episode.
Right...?
Probably. They film them in blocks and I assume the finale episodes were one block, separate from whichever block Interstellar Song Contest was in.
So it could be that Carole only had one day filming Interstellar Song Contest but had more filming days for the finale. June wouldn't be there for the finale filming, so she only had the chance to meet Carole that one day.
That's just all guessing though.
What makes this Rani and the Fifteenth Doctorâs dynamic different to the past?
Without giving too much away for the finale, this is a Doctor and a Rani of a different time. The annihilation of the Time Lords has affected both these characters in different ways â some of which you can see in my episode. The way the Doctor is affected by the attack on the Arena comes from a place of trauma; and I think thatâs something we should expect of the Rani as well.
