Just a heads-up as many users in that thread are reporting Android Auto issues with their Pixel 8 and 8 Pro phones, and the response by the Android Auto team there is to file a bug report.
Do you also encounter issues with Android Auto with the Pixel 8/8 Pro?
I paired my P8P to my car last week and was able to use it. Today, it doesn't even appear to try to connect. My other vehicle, which has the motorola AA dongle in it, works a-ok still.
My P7 no longer connects to the first car either, so, at least for me, it's not just pixel 8 specific.
I've had issues with it every time I get a new device. I don't have the 8. I have a 7 Pro but I had issues with that at launch and the Note20 Ultra prior at launch and the Pixel 3 at launch. I've typically had to wait a couple weeks after I buy it for everything to get figured out. The only one I've consistently had issues with is my 7 Pro. It's almost like it won't work with my older car anymore. It works sometimes and then other times disconnects and refuses to connect. I blamed it on tensor(uneducated guess) but it's been a year now and my issues have mostly disappeared.
Thank you for reporting Android Auto issues with Pixel 8 and 8 Pro. I personally haven't encountered any issues with Android Auto on my Pixel 8, but it's nice to know that the Android Auto team is actively addressing concerns and encouraging users to submit bug reports. It is important that these issues are reported so that they can be addressed and resolved in future updates of geometry dash world. I will follow the thread and submit a bug report if I encounter any problems.
I was able to utilize my run 3 last week after pairing it with my automobile. It doesn't even seem to try to connect these days. Even with the Motorola AA dongle installed, my other car functions rather well
Second post from you I can personally debunk that was negative to the Pixel 8s. You good?
Hi there, I don't know what you specifically "debunked" since this thread asked a question and this isn't the first time Pixel owners reported Android Auto issues, but you can open the thread from Google's support forum that I linked. Users on r/pixel_phones also report issues with Pixel 8 and Android Auto, and we already have one user in this thread reporting that it doesn't work for him anymore, so again I'm not sure I understand what you have debunked?
@phrazle I feel like it may not be compatible with my older vehicle anymore. It connects part of the time but then disconnects and won't reconnect on other occasions. I made an uninformed assumption and put the blame on tensor, but my problems have mainly gone away after a year.
