You're being quite generous to call that "logic."
Hamas and other Gaza-based militants launched a massive cross-border attack on southern Israel last weekend, killing more than 1,300 Israeli soldiers and civilians.
I mean, I'm not siding with either Hamas or Israel (they're both aholes from all I've read), but wtf did they expect?
If it's true that the majority supported Hamas and their actions then they truly fucked around and found out. Won't be surprised if we find out Israel has just been waiting for a good excuse to do this.
By this logic, that means Hamas did nothing wrong because Israelis support their government. 🤔
The average age of Palestinians in Gaza is 19. The last election was when they were 2 years old so saying the majority of ~2 million people support a group of 30-40k people in their midst that haven't been voted on in their lifetime is kinda ridiculous.
What to expect is not to have collective punishment of anyone who is a Palestinian for the crimes of the minority. Punishing 100% of the population for 1-2% of them who are actual criminals.
