I don't think they've announced anything for John yet since it just happened not that long ago. But since his death was so close to release id say if he's in this season, his voice lines were already done

Could be, but one fun fact I've noticed is that Dale hasn't been seen smoking in the revival opener, the trailer, or any released scenes so far. Even so, Dale smoked a lot of cigarettes previously to get Smokin' "Sammy" Salmon, the singing Manitoba fish, on the wall of his den.
