That was a great read. Call it my lack of taste, but I'm a bit less biased towards optically "perfect" and geometrically perfect geometry. I think both are distinct styles expressing different ideas. Maybe I'm already damaged, but the geometric circle looked perfectly round to me, as I've learned over the years that a perfect circle must look like that (a bit squeezed to the eye).
