Single Lemmy Account vs. Separate Lemmygrad Account

I made an account on lemmy.ml today, and I was planning to simply use this account as a general-purpose account to browse all contents in the fediverse. But, considering the small size of the communities in lemmygrad.ml compared to other mainstream communities in lemmy.ml and lemmy.world, I can't really see any lemmygrad.ml contents on my feed unless I manually go into the individual communities here.

So my question is, is there a way to filter my feed on command to only see lemmygrad.ml posts from my lemmy.ml account? Or would it be viable to make a separate lemmygrad.ml account and alternate between accounts? How are you guys approaching this?

  • I think if you wanted to see mostly 'grad content from .ML, you'd need to subscribe to only (or mostly) 'grad communities, then sort by "subscribed".

I usually sort by "local" to see the stuff here, and I find that pretty convenient.

Jerboa, at least, has a pretty convenient mechanic for switching between Lemmy accounts, so it wouldn't be hard to just have two accounts for different purposes.

I've got a midwest.social account I use just to see what's up with the part of the fediverse that blocks us.

    • I also wanna see contents from other communities and instances but it's just that lemmygrad contents were way too underrepresented in my feed. I guess I'll just create another account here in lemmygrad and alternate whenever.

It'd be nice if they added an option to view contents solely from another specific instance that I'm not technically a part of, besides the "global" "local" and "subscribed" options
