What are your takes on Saddam Hussein?

This is not a discussion about if Iraq was better under him or U.S imperialism since it was obviously better under saddam and he shouldn't have been dethroned. I am asking about your takes on Saddam since some considering him a fascist. I want Your thoughts what what justifies his action to you.
