This is what plays during the first stage when the protagonist, riding his young winged (and practically flightless) mount, rushes through his village both contemplating the destruction imparted by the game's antagonists and doing what he can to fight off the enemy stragglers.
Thought the composition did a good job of communicating the chaos and desperation of the stage for the first 40s then settling on the theme at 41s onwards. Most of the bigger opponents are either reach or the protagonist as his dragon can quite fly yet, or are way too powerful.
