I'm also using Sync. The first time I loaded it, it was a garbagey jpg. The second time I loaded it, it was HD.
On Boost there's a little HD button to load the image in full quality. Maybe Sync has something similar? Otherwise open the post in a browser.
TIL about the HD button, solving a problem I've had since the "old" Boost. Thank you, kind stranger!
(My workaround was always the browser. Clumsy, but it worked)

Yeah, I'll double-check next time. It's just not a rare thing that people post low quality images.
Click on the post first, then open the image.
For whatever reason turn this off fixed low quality large images for me:

Nope, still have that turned on. I really have no idea why that fixed it. I saw another user recommend it in another post and it worked.

Try opening the post and tapping it again. The preview was low res for me too.

I'm on sync too and I had to close an open it a couple times before it would load full res
Yep. It's happened before and people using other apps had the same thing happen to them too. Not sure if it's affecting all apps or just some.
