For those who have regrown bok choy from scraps in water - is it normal for parts to get mushy? Is she a lost cause?
This is my first attempt at regrowing (baby) bok choy from kitchen scraps. The growth is great but the outside is super wet and mushy. Is there any fixing this, or is this stalk a total goner?
Haven't grown bok choy, but i have some experience with hydroponics.
It kinda looks like root rot, which more than likely means it's a goner. You could try and cut out the rot and stick it in some clean water and hope it saves itself, but I haven't been able to manage that with other plants.
Root rot usually indicates that the water needed to be changed more frequently, and that it needs more aeration.
