[Sami Mokbel, Chris Wheeler] Juventus plan to offer Jadon Sancho an Old Trafford escape route after the Manchester United star was frozen out by Erik ten Hag at the start of the season
Representatives from Juventus were in the UK last week and are understood to have made contact with United over the possibility of a loan move for Sancho in January.
It’s unlikely the Italians would be able to afford a transfer fee for a player who cost United £73million from Borussia Dortmund in 2021 and was available for £45m in the summer.
Even if Sancho left on loan, United would probably have to subsidise a portion of his £275,000-a-week wages.
Dortmund are also believed to be considering a move to take Sancho back to the Bundesliga, and other clubs could come forward depending on how desperate United are to get him off the books.
Saudi Arabia is another possibility in January and next summer, although Sancho would prefer to stay in Europe at this stage of his career if possible.
Al-Ettifaq pulled out of a loan deal late in the summer window because the club managed by Steven Gerrard wouldn’t commit to a £50m permanent move at the end of the season.
The Saudi big four of Al-Nassr, Al-Ittihad, Al-Ahli and Al-Hilal could be in the market for Sancho, while Ettifaq and Al-Shabab could emerge as options in the summer.
