Google wants your Pixel Watch to double as a VR controller

A Google patent shows that its Project Iris efforts are alive and well, and that you'll need a smartwatch to control it.

There's some things I would love for my Pixel Watch to do, but a VR controller isn't one of them. Let's start with being a Bluetooth beacon, being able to run Google Home routines or even being a speaker for Google Home routines.
- You should already be able to run home routines through assistant actions, no?
