What does it mean that the canvas will be locked? Will it be unlocked later? Will it be erased?

It means the event will end and nobody will be able to make any more edits. The final image will probably stay up but whenever we do this again, we'll start from a blank canvas.

The plan is to lock the canvas and release the final canvas as well as the pixel placement logs

I expect people will release visualizing tools to see the progress
