  The iPhone let me copy that text out of the image (fastest way was to screenshot and then hold my finger on the text in the screenshot preview). I then tapped “look up” and DuckDuckGo found articles about the exchange. But for less popular Tweets, Nitter should work.

- She was one of the first high profile people on blue sky so it's not for not trying. Even this criticism though reads a bit like "You dislike capitalism and yet you participate in it." You can criticise what you partake in, why not?
  
  That's not the same though? We can't stop participating in Capitalism right now. But we can easily stop using Twitter as far as I'm aware. You will not die if you stop using a website. I am not saying don't participate in social media of any kind. I am saying if you can't even stop using a website because it clashes with every value you have, then what chance is there that you'll give up something even greater for the sake of the greater good? Your analogy can be used to justify not making any kind of change ever because it inconveniences us.

  What kind of value does Twitter actually bring to a politician? I think we tend to overestimate how much Twitter does influence politics of any kind. People who will support a politician will support them and people who don't will not, Twitter will rarely sway anyone to a different position. Is it necessary to keep posting about every opinion you have constantly? If that's what being politically active is, then politics has devolved beyond repair.

Making it funnier is that this was from Apr 2022, when Elon didn’t even control Twitter yet, so her comment couldn’t actually apply to him. His offer had been accepted 4 days prior, but he would soon try to back out of it until Oct 2022.
So those saying in the comments here that she was lying in her reply have some crow to eat.

I wish he would step away from twitter and focus more on improving rockets and electric cars. Twitter seems like a big distraction.
- The only reason the rockets are any good is because he occupies himself with Twitter. I've heard that both Tesla and Space X have people whose sole job is to keep Musk from fucking up the projects and companies.
  
  The amount of actual software improvements made to my Tesla since he started focusing on X has been record high (something as simple as getting automatic highlights and wipers finally working for example).
  Please keep the madman occupied with his social media failure and away from everything that actually matters!

- It sounds to me like she intentionally phrased it so it could apply to both of them, and maybe be interpreted to apply to the several news outlets owned by billionaires as well (fox news, washington post, etc.). It's a weirdly common feature of our dystopia at this point, and I think that's what she was expressing exhaustion with. So while she may not have initially intended to exclude Musk, I genuinely think it wasn't just about him, and phrasing her reply in this way was funny and pretty much guaranteed to get more people to see the message.
  
  Not only that, the exchange makes the point even better than the tweet alone. The fact that one of the billionaires in this category showed up on his own to confirm the truth of it. If she planned it that way, this is what actual 4 dimensional chess looks like.
