Comment below if you want to talk about music, as I make sure to dig into music of the past.

That's awesome, how many records is that? I've got about 800, but yours clearly dwarves that! Based on the number of shelves, I'd guess around 2400?
4 0 ReplyAbout 2000 albums, plus 200-300 45s, 100 or so CDs, and about 50 78s.
3 0 ReplyFantastic. Most of mine is singles (mostly house/techno, very different from yours I would think!) but I do love an LP now and then as well.
2 0 ReplyWait until you have to move. Friends are rare.

Do you have classical music? I'm on a quest to find classical songs that make you feel like a wizard.
3 0 ReplyNope, no classical. It's mostly rock music in this collection.
2 0 ReplyI love your display of LPs. I worked in a record store in the early 80s. The company made it super easy and inexpensive to collect records. I had several crates full of lps with some collectibles, Dark Side of the Moon on white vinyl, The Piper at the Gates of Dawn & Saucer Full of Secrets on original Tower Records label. All of my music was rock, too. I sold my whole collection for $90.00 in late 1985

Sick collection! How are they organized? Do you play all new arrivals before they’re filed into the rack?
3 0 ReplyThey are organized alphabetically by first name, and in order of release, even down to the month if multiple releases came out in one year.
I always play new arrivals when I get them. When I bring stuff home, I go on discogs and catalog them in my collection, so i have a day-by-day note of what albums I got, and I play the albums to check condition.

2 0 ReplyI love the meat puppets!! Do you have any of their other albums on vinyl? Do the vinyls also have the bonus tracks?
2 0 ReplyNo I don't have any other albums by the Meat Puppets on vinyl. That album in particular Up On The Sun is an OG pressing from 1985, so it doesn't have bonus tracks.
