Used to, now i only follow players careers. Used to believe that "institutions > players", but now i am sure that it is the reverse. Institutions are nothing more than a bunch of nepo babies extracting profits from the players, coaches and staff.
I used to be very invested in my teams, not anymore. I occasionally watch the games, highlights or certain shows about them, but overall I am drifting further and further away from them, mostly because of my obsession with associating myself with things. Everything has to be close to 100% in agreement with my values and you can guess sports are far from that number. They are leftovers from my childhood but they belong there as well. I sometimes take out and put on my jerseys I bought when I was younger, but my fandom is starting to be a thing of the past.
I am technically still the fan of AC Milan in terms of ⚽, and the Wizards doing something that kinda resembles 🏀.
I've got a nostalgic thing going for the Edmonton Oilers. They are the team in the city where I spend my younger childhood years and where I got into hockey and started playing.
I have loved Tampa Bay Rays baseball for a long time. They are my corporate currated identity. I watch as many games as I possibly can. I also try to catch local minor league games when I have the chance.
No strong affiliation for most sports, but I like the Green Bay Packers because they are actually the only team to be owned by their fans. The teams in my city are okay but they always lose lol. I'll hop on the bandwagon if they win
I enjoy watching a couple of sports but my main one is basketball. Favorite team is the San Antonio Spurs even though I'm not from that area of the US. Became a fan of them in the early 2010s because I liked their style of basketball back then.
Also I'll always post "The Beautiful Game" tribute video whenever I have the chance.
For football AFC Ajax, but Tottenham Hotspurs and FC Copenhagen are my secondary teams. For ice hockey I support Amsterdam Tigers, New York Rangers, and SKA Saint Petersburg
Baltimore Ravens for football, Toronto Raptors and Memphis Grizzlies for basketball.
Huge fan of the Ravens and Raptors since I was a kid, I liked the color purple and dinosaurs were my special interest so I was into it lol. Got into the Grizzlies a few years ago when I became a fan of Ja Morant and the Grizzlies' whole play style.
Didn't actually start watching basketball as a fan until 2020 but that's cause the sports drought after football season was killing me so I had to get into something 💀
Eh only if they're weird about it, and if people are that offended over choosing a sports team then then they have much bigger issues in their lives than which sports team you're allowed to root for, lol.
That’s why I don’t like United, the color is the sole reason I don’t like (more so) Arsenal and Liverpool. In retrospect Liverpool looks decently, but not at the time.
Cringe/s I used to hate all the red teams for some reason. Now, as I love the red banner, not so much. Red English teams are still cringe tho. River Plate is the people’s team with the people’s colors.
