These organizations don't fucking care. This is the same variant used by vocal organizations broadcasting that employees can only efficiently work at the office. Subscriptions plateaued years ago, across multiple platforms and services. And I'm not simply referring to streaming services. Software licensing, vehicle packages, solar power installation, it doesn't matter anymore. Businesses don't believe you, the consumer, has ownership of purchased products. Even products that don't succumb to post-purchase services are being treated as such. The consumer is the product regardless if currency was exchanged.
