The top demos of Steam Next Fest (so far!)

I really digged Dungeonborne and Indika. Also, Duck Detective and Diceomancer went to my wishlist.

Favorite for me was definitely Pacific Drive. It combined my inclination for being a loot goblin with surprisingly fun car repair mechanics, all wrapped in a contemporary supernatural vibe. I hesitate to call it Control-esque as that's a GOAT game to me, but it has that similar attention to detail that I love about Control.

Honorable mentions for Lightyear Frontier, Star Trucker, Pepper Grinder, and Duck Detective.
