Looking at maps, it's real, but most of the towns on the map aren't really towns. Paris is completely empty, just a park. Poland is very small, Banana has the airport and one restaurant, London is the only real community of any size. (edit: part of what I was counting as London is actually Tabwakea, London is very limited by land space and the population overflows into the larger land north of it. However this area is Tabwakea and not London.)
I've always sucked at geography and knowing anything about the world in general, but I think it's pretty cool that this land form kind of looks like a slingshot
