Allow for customization of notification polling period

I'd like to turn on notifications in Connect, but I really don't want it polling for them every minute. Can we get some granularity for this feature?

Yeah I might use it if it was only checking every 12 hrs, but I doubt anyone is getting messages often enough for 60s
